(Minoru Suzki's a fan)
Well hi there boys and girls, Uncle LP is here to bring you another special treat for you. 2015 has been a year of firsts for yours truly and to further express this I thought I would give the ladies their just do and review some Joshi gosh darn it!! Let's get this started shall we.
Match 1: Haruka Kato vs Hatsuhinode Kamen
This was a bit of a sloppy match Kato who's the one without the mask wanted to work a mat based match while Kamen was all about comedy. I didn't really enjoy this one.
Match Grade: C-
Match 2: Kris Wolf vs Momo Watanabe vs Kaori Yoneyama vs Reo Hazuki
This was an alright comedy match Momo played a good heel in it too. Kris Wolf wins it though.
Match: Grade: C+
Match 3 High Speed Championship Match : Koguma(c) vs Starfire
The first of three title matches on the show. This is the lower card title for Stardom so it's placement on the show makes sense unlike another company I could mention but won't. Anyways this match was good there were a few spots that were a bit messy like the hurricana spot in the beginning. But for the most part I thought they told a good story and kept it relatively simple. Starfire wins the belt
Match Grade: C+
Match 4: Meiko Satomura vs Chelsea
Meiko reminds me of Hirooki Goto for some reason, maybe it's the slicked back hair and epic entrance theme. This match.... was fucking awesome, it's very rare to see people work the mat anymore, and that is exactly what these two did, almost to perfection. I really liked this match both ladies deserve a ton of credit for this performance. Meiko gets the win and makes a star out of Chelsea here.
Match Grade: B
Match 4 Io Shirai vs Nikki Storm for the Vacant Wonder of Stardom Championship
OH HELL YEAH!!! Now this is what I'm talking about, you'll have to excuse me if I lose my objectivity here cause Nikki Storm is my favorite wrestler going today. Why you might ask simple, SHE"S THE BEST IN THE GALAXY! That's not to say that Shirai is a scrub or anything she's currently one of the best wrestlers in the world and is considered the Ace of Stardom. So naturally this match lived up to the hype, although the finish was kinda eh. Plus Nikki didn't win. Starfire challenges Io afterwards.
Match Grade: B-
Main Event: World of Stardom Championship Kairi Hojo (c) vs Mayu Iwatani
Match Grade: A
Well this was a great show I don't know if I'd call it my show of the year but I will say that I enjoyed the hell out of it and minus the stinker in beginning there wasn't a bad match on the show. I will also say that everything on this show had a great flow and got progressively better with every passing match. I thought that each of the titles were placed exactly where they should be on the card and each one did it's job. It's really nice to see Stardom recover and bounce back like this after the Act/Yoshiko incident a few months back and top star Nanae Takahashi announcing she was leaving just a few days before this show.
Final Show Grade: B+
Well I'll see you next time boys and girls, until then stay classy.
